The Senator representing Edo North, Adams Oshiomhole, has laughed at Abuja-based politicians who plotted doomsday in Edo State over the ongoing election.
Oshiomhole, who voted in the ongoing election earlier today, September 21, alleged that a national chairman based in Abuja, whose name he didn’t mention, threatened that the election would end in violence.
But based on Oshiomhole’s assessment and the testimony of those he said called him around the state, the election has been peaceful beyond expectation.
“A couple of people have called me, telling me they have started voting. I asked about the environment, and they said it was peaceful. I am very certain that the situation will prevail everywhere as I pray it is going”, Oshiomhole said shortly before casting his vote in Iyamoh Primary School, Ward 10 PU1, Etsako West LGA.
“Some people are threatening that there will be violence. One of the acting national chairmen said they were going to do a bloodbath, and so on. He is in Abuja, and he wishes they could do that kind of thing.
“By the way, these people are conducting themselves, you know that those guys are living in a fool’s paradise.”
