Fact Check: Trump Said He Will Not Ban Abortion, Kamala Harris lied

With just a week to go until Election Day in the United States, polls indicate a close race between former President Donald Trump and Democratic nominee Kamala Harris.

Trump currently leads in key battleground states, while Harris maintains a narrow lead nationally.

According to FiveThirtyEight’s daily election poll tracker, Harris is ahead in the national polls by a slim 1.4 percentage points, a slight dip from her 1.7-point lead the previous week.

However, Trump’s strength in critical swing states like Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and Georgia is keeping the race highly competitive.

Both candidates have intensified their campaign efforts in these battlegrounds, which include Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Georgia, Michigan, Arizona, Wisconsin, and Nevada.

Harris, campaigning in Michigan, pledged to “turn the page on fear and divisiveness,” focusing on unity and change.

Meanwhile, Trump, at a rally in Atlanta, Georgia, struck a combative tone, hitting back at critics, including former First Lady Michelle Obama, whom he referred to as “nasty,” according to Al Jazeera.

In Michigan, Harris holds a narrow lead, while Trump has a slight edge in Pennsylvania and Nevada, with a stronger lead in Arizona, Georgia, and North Carolina.

In Wisconsin, the candidates are virtually tied, with less than a tenth of a percentage point separating them.

With margins so tight and within the polls’ margins of error, analysts predict the election will come down to razor-thin differences in these key states, making every vote crucial in determining the final outcome.
